People likes speculating and we thought it would be fun to create an app where gamers can predict a game's player count upon it's release date. That is the core concept of Gamenority Report. A place where gamers can try and predict the future of a game.

Will the information be useful? That depends. If enough users sends their predictions then we might see the general perception of gamers about a game before it's release. But we not forget that player count is only a part of what makes a game successful and due to the fact that anyone can make an account and send their prediction we should always take the results with a grain of salt.

How does it work?

A "Forecast Post" will be created for a game. Here users can submit and view predictions of all the users and the result of the forecast.

Users can submit as many predictions as they like as long as the submission period is open, but only their latest prediction will be counted at the end of the submission period.

Once the game subject to the forecast is released Steam's API will then be used to gather the player count for the game and be compared to users predictions.

What games are available?

Because Steam's API is used to gather the player count, only games available to steam will be available.

What if a game I want doesn't have a post?

If you want a game to be featured you can request a game here. Just provide us the name of the game and why you want the game to be featured. Is it one of the most anticipated game of the year? Is it a long dormant game that suddenly announced an update? Is a long running paid game announced that it's going free-to-play? What ever the reason if you think it will be fun or interesting to predict, send it.
